Mobile push templates

Introduction #

Mobile push templates allow you to create engaging notifications for mobile devices. These notifications can be highly personalized and are a fantastic way to keep your audience engaged.

Creating a mobile push #

1. Start by navigating to the Templates section in the sidebar, and select Mobile Push.

2. Click on Create to begin creating a new mobile push template.

3. Choose the integration for sending mobile push notifications under the Sender selector. This determines the service that will be used to send the notifications.

4. Choose a customer field that corresponds to the sender ID in the Send to selector. This field identifies the recipients of the notification. Note: Upon selecting OneSignal integration, the Use external user ID selector will appear. If checked “Send to” will be treated as External User ID; if not, it will be considered a OneSignal Player ID

5. Customize Your Mobile Push Notification

  • Title: Write a concise and engaging title for your mobile push notification. This is usually the first thing the recipient sees.
  • Message: Write the message content of the mobile push notification. Ensure that it’s clear and motivates the recipient to take action.
  • Add Link (Optional): You can add a link to which the user will be redirected upon tapping on the mobile push notification.
  • Add Image (Optional): Optionally, you can upload an image to make the mobile push notification visually appealing.

6. You can optionally add buttons to your mobile push by pressing the “+ Add button” under the Launch settings. Enter the button name and button icon path. IOS supports up to four buttons, and Android supports up to 3 buttons.

7. Additionally, if you use OneSignal Mobile push integration, it is possible to pass data along with sending your push notification. Input the needed data in the corresponding field, that will appear upon choosing OneSignal Mobile push integration.

8. Before saving your template, make sure to preview how your mobile push notification will appear on different platforms (iOS and Android) to ensure it looks as intended.

9. Once you are satisfied with your mobile push notification, click Save to save your template. Your new mobile push template is now ready for use in your workflows!
