Introduction: Understanding Workspaces #
In the context of our system, a workspace is a unique, isolated space with its own database. Each workspace operates independently, ensuring data from one does not mix with another. This makes workspaces ideal for managing separate entities or brands within a single system.
Consider a holding company that oversees several businesses. Instead of mixing customer data from different companies, each company can have its own workspace, keeping their databases separate and manageable. Similarly, if your company manages multiple brands, we recommend creating a separate workspace for each brand. This way, you can maintain distinct customer lists, preferences, and histories, helping you provide more personalized and targeted service for each brand.
Creating a New Workspace Environment #
Follow these steps to set up a new workspace environment in Retainly:
- Start by navigating to Settings and then select Workspaces.
- To create a new workspace, click on the Create button.
- You’ll then be taken to the workspace customization page. Here, you can personalize the look and feel of your workspace.
- After you’ve made your modifications, click Create to save them.
- Optionally, you can upload your own logo. Click on the edit logo pencil icon and select the logo from your system. Once the logo has been uploaded, press the Create button.
Congratulations! You’ve successfully created your first workspace. Enjoy your customized environment as you dive into your work.
